My advocate spent time with me and made suggestions, and was very accommodating!

In the fall of 2006 when it came to be I was put on disability, it was suggested I contact Disability Resource Center. I spoke to an advocate who was a great help and we stay in touch to this day.

As a recent amputee I was having a hard time getting some help from the Department of Social Services. Thanks to Access Independence I am now getting services which I was told I wasn't qualified for. You really need an advocate by your side to help. I am so very thankful for all of your help!

You truly have been the pinnacle of inspiration to me and a source of what it really means to build inclusions for people who need to “access independence” within the Community. For a very long time I have sought help to overcome many barriers with mobility within the work place and otherwise, but you were the ones that really made it happen for me. I have been a consumer of Access Independence since 2009. I have received well thought out services for staying independent in the community, such as getting referred to resources I needed to stay independent. The staff is exceptional in its knowledge, compassion and understanding, and I was able to achieve my public service license with the help of the agency.
